Organic Yerba Mate Tea
This South American native herb is a delicious caffeinated tea that many indigenous peoples celebrate and ritualize. Yerba mate is traditionally consumed from a container called a gourd and sipped with a metal straw that has a filter at its lower end to strain out the leaf fragments.
Sharing it from this traditional gourd is said to be a sign of friendship and bonding. Some of its uses include boosting focus, enhancing physical performance, high in antioxidants, boost immune system, lower blood sugar and fight infections.
Brewing Instructions: Pour 8-12 oz. of boiling water over 1-2 tsp. of tea. Steep 5-10 minutes. Enjoy alone or sweeten to your taste.
