Organic Meadowsweet Tea
The fragrant Meadowsweet Herb is a well-known wildflower, with its fern-like foliage and tufts of delicate, graceful, creamy-white flowers, which are in blossom from June to September. It grows in damp areas such as around river beds. Compounds in meadowsweet that may have beneficial properties include flavonoids, ellagitannins, and salicylic acid (an ingredient in aspirin). These compounds, among others, may have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Uses: It may help with colds, bronchitis, upset stomach, heartburn, ulcers, joint support, gout, and bladder infections.
